Pilot Program

The purpose of the pilot is to evaluate this website. Working with the University of New Hampshire Extension Office, we are trying to see if collecting this data and making it available to farmers is a useful tool to help farmers control costs.

The purpose of the actual website is to collect prices that farmers are really paying, and then present that back to the farmers, so that you know what on average a farm of your size is paying for a service or product.

We hope that you, as a farmer, in the pilot will sign-up and spend some time inputting your price data.

Please note:

  • All the data is entirely anonymous. No farmer is aware of other farmer's data, only the averages and the distribution of the prices.
  • If some of the categories are not relevant to you, or you do not wish to input them, then please leave that category blank.
  • AgriMark members - welcome to the site. We hope that you will input some data and encourage other members to add data as well - the more data added, the more useful the site is to everyone.
  • Please remember that the more data that the site receives the more valuable this tool will be for all of us.
  • All prices should be the prices you actually pay delivered to the farm unless otherwise indicated
  • There is a comment box under each price item. Please feel free to use it. We understand that some categories have different specifications, e.g. one farmer's grist may be different from another. However the overall average and how prices are distributed will still be useful.
  • This is a pilot/beta test; we are making changes and upgrades to the site every day. Please email us with any thoughts and suggestions and we will try to accommodate them. With your help, we hope to have a really useful tool for dairy farmers within six months.

Thank you for your help in the Pilot.
